We will be selecting the most original, skilled, and well-shot videos to include in the grand finale episode BUT YOU ONLY HAVE A FEW WEEKS to get your video up and to get your friends comment on it for you, so get to it!! Be sure to spread the word - anyone can upload a video, but only a few will make it onto the show!!Upload your Video Official RulesCONTEST DESCRIPTIONThis is a Contest. The object of this Contest is to create and post on the ANSSTV Facebook page an original video in the "Just Fans" area of the ANSSTV Fan page. One entry per fan. Each entry that meets the eligibility requirements described below under “Eligibility” will be called an “Eligible Entry” for purposes of the Contest. All Eligible Entries will be judged using the criteria described below under “Contest Criteria and Prizes.”ELIGIBILITYThe Contest is open to all legal U.S. residents age thirteen or older at the start of the Contest Period (as defined below). Void where prohibited. Employees of the Sponsor, its subsidiaries or parent company, their advertising and production agencies, and their immediate families and household members are not eligible to participate in the Contest. Only entries posted between 12:01 a.m. Pacific time on November 10, 2009 and 11:59 p.m. Pacific time on December 1, 2009 (the “Contest Period”) will be considered for eligibility.In addition, to be an Eligible Entry an entry must meet the following content/technical requirements:
CONTEST CRITERIA AND PRIZESWithin seven (7) days after the close of the Contest Period, a panel of judges, who will be contract employees of the Sponsor, will review all Eligible Entries received and select as many as (but not limited to) ten (10) finalists based upon the following criteria: creativity, skill, technique and originality. The decisions of these judges are final and binding. The winners’ videos will be aired on the finale episode of Season 1 America's Next Sports Star.PRIZE REDEMPTIONThe Sponsor will notify each finalist via e-mail, phone or Facebook message to verify the finalist’s mailing address and to coordinate submission of a TV-quality video file under two (2) minutes in length. Acceptable file formats are .mov, .mxt, avi or mpeg4. If the finalist cannot be contacted, or if the finalist fails to provide a TV-quality video file within seven (7) business days of the date of the notice from Sponsor, an alternate finalist will be selected from the remaining Eligible Entries. No transfer, cash redemption or substitution is permitted, except by the Sponsor, which reserves the right to substitute a prize with one of comparable or greater value.USE OF ENTRIESBy entering this Contest, entrants consent to the Sponsor’s use of their name, photograph and/or likeness, voice, and statements made by or attributed to them, in perpetuity, in any and all media now known or hereafter developed (including, without limitation, print, broadcast and Internet), for all legitimate business purposes, including advertising and promotional activities, without additional compensation, notice, review or approval, unless otherwise prohibited by law. In addition, entrants agree to sign any necessary documentation that may be required for the Sponsor and its designees to make use of the rights granted herein. Do not enter this Contest if you do not want to grant the Sponsor these rights.GENERAL CONDITIONSThe Sponsor and its promotional and advertising agencies, and their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents, shall have no liability to entrants and shall be held harmless by entrants for any damage, loss or liability to persons or property, due in whole or part, directly or indirectly, by reason of the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of a prize or participation in this Contest. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend part or all of this Contest should virus, bugs, unauthorized human intervention or other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness, or proper play of this Contest. The Sponsor and its promotion and advertising agencies, and their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents, are not responsible for technical, hardware, software or telephone failures of any kind, lost, interrupted or unavailable network connections, third party fraud, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmissions, whether caused by the Sponsor, users, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Contest or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of entries which may damage the user’s system or limit a participant’s ability to participate in this Contest. The Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual that the Sponsor reasonably believes to have tampered with the entry process or with the operation of this Contest, or who is found to be acting in violation of these Official Rules. The Contest will be governed by the laws of the State of California. Entrants consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts (state and federal) situated in Orange County, California. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited or restricted.INDEMNIFICATIONEntrants (and their parent or legal guardian if entrant is under the age of 13 years) agree to indemnify, defend, and hold the Sponsor, its subsidiaries or parent company, its advertising and production agencies, affiliates and their respective officers, agents, directors, managers, members, attorneys, employees harmless from and against any and all claims, actions, losses, expenses, damages, and costs (including attorneys' fees), resulting from: (i) entrants use of the ANSSTV website or Facebook; (ii) any breach or violation of this Agreement or any law, rule, or regulation; (iii) entrant’s violation of any third party’s intellectual property rights; (iv) the posting, submission, display, transmission, exchange, performance, publication, distribution, sharing, dissemination, promotion, broadcast, and/or circulation of entrant’s entry/video, or any other content; (v) the theft or misappropriation of entrant’s e-mail address; (vi) disclosure of entrant’s e-mail address; or (vii) entrant’s authorization of anyone else to use entrant’s e-mail address or Facebook account.Sponsor reserves the right to assume, at its sole expense, the exclusive defense and control of any such claim or action contemplated above, and all negotiations for settlement or compromise, and entrant agrees to fully cooperate with Sponsor in the defense of any such claim, action, settlement, or compromise negotiations, as requested by Sponsor. In no event will entrant settle any claim or action without Sponsor’s prior written approval. WINNER’S LISTThe Sponsor will post the name of confirmed winners on its Facebook page within five (5) days after the winners are confirmed. This list may remain posted indefinitely.
